Eborienteers/TCA Mountain bike Orienteering Event

Events 6 & 7 of the 2004 North Yorks Bike-O league consisting of 11 events with your best 6 scores counting.

Day Event Start Times Description
Sat MTBO 10:30-11:00 Visit 13 controls in a fixed order in the fastest time. There will be some compulsory walking sections across bridleways that will be taped and marshalled.
  Spanish Score 01:00-01:30 N. YORKS. LEAGUE EVENT 6
Visit up to 20 controls in any order. All controls are worth 10 points. 1 point will be added for every minute under 2 hours as long as you visit all 20 controls. 10 points will be deducted for every minute over 2 hours.
  Night MBO 10:00-10:15 pm Visit up to 10 controls in 1 hr. Usual penalties.
Sun MTB 09:30-10:00 Cycle round the 5km marked route for 1 hr.

Visit up to 30 controls in 2 hours. Usual penaltie

ASSEMBLY Mauley Cross, Stape, Pickering GR796944
TRAVEL Leave the A170 at Pickering and head north for 5 miles passing through Newton-on-Rawclffe then Stape. Turn left into the parking field 1 mile north of Stape
FACILITIES Camping, parking, toilets, hot refreshments, bar

CAMPSITE Open from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon Suitable for tents and caravans but only limited water supply so please bring plenty with you.
Fat Pigs will be catering from Saturday morning.
START/FINISH All within 1km of the Assembly field
MAPS Overprinted 1-25,000 enlarged OS extracts
CHECKPOINTS These will be identified with a 20cm square red/white foamex marker with an electronic punch attached.
PRIZES Prizes will be awarded at 4.00 on Sunday to category winners who have competed in all 5 events. Selection of bike accessories donated by Karbitz of Boroughbridge plus the usual selection of wine
