Thanks for turning up to ride last Saturday. I hope you enjoyed the event as much as I did. I picked a fairly good route from a competitive point of view but a top route from a scenic point of view. The track along Crosscliffe looking down over Langdale Forest and over to the moors past Blakey Topping was as superb as expected. Then 30 minutes linking the track network together in the top of the forest, leaving it as late as possible for the fast descent to the finish - and only a minute late!
Congratulations to all of the class winners – especially Ian Nixon who got the train to Scarborough then cycled to the start – and returned by the same method after visiting most of the controls!!
I would like to thank the usual band of volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly especially Andy Parsons for planning the course and Corinne for looking after the start and finish.
