Over 60 riders turned up for the first pub-based event of the winter.

Thanks to Tim & Emma Moorhouse and Tina Elson for planning the final event of the year. They had planned another excellent course over a large area which gave plenty of route choice but caught a few riders out. A few riders lost time on some vague bridleways around Ripley. I hope it hasn't put them off. Scores were low but John Rawden proved that experience counts more than age by beating all the younger riders!! His route was 23 15 27 7 17 26 24 13 30 12 16 6

I am planning the next event on January 14th based at the Holly Hill Inn south of Richmond - and thoroughly enjoying the excuse to get to know the area well. Entries to me as usual. Clok are running a similar series and their next event is at Great Smeaton north of Northallerton on January ??. Please send your entries to dichris.wright@tiscali.co.uk

I hope you have enjoyed the events this year and that you will join in again in 2006 when the series will be renamed North Yorkshire Mountain Bike Orienteers (NYMBO) to reflect the spread of events throughout the county rather than just around York where we started. Hopefully, the same principles - low cost but well planned on an excellent map.
