Another impressive turn out of 65 riders making Patrick and Mick's planning worthwhile. The rain held off and the wind wasn't too strong so we were able to enjoy the superb scenery of the Howardian Hills. There were 4 small forests on the map where the main tracks were a pleasure to ride. Nick Harmer just managed to beat Dave Spence by 1 point - getting in some valuable training so that he can plan a good course for the next event in the Wolds!! The White Swan made an excellent event centre - good beer, pleasant staff and tasty food without having to wait too long even though the pub was really busy. There were 2 items of property left behind so please contact me if you lost a glove or a helmet. Results attached.
The final winter lanequest is on February 10th at Leavening near Malton so please send your email entries to me as usual.
Chris Wright is organising a lanequest in a couple of weeks so please support this event. Details below.
Jens Strain has produced some excellent posters for display in bike shops. Please collect one at your next event and take it to your local shop.
I have attached the 2007 NYMBO fixture list. The senior fee has gone up by 50p due to the fee charged by the Forestry Commission. No increase in junior fees and the same reductions as usual for a variety of people!! Why not join the TCA as a full member to support the national organisation and get a £2 reduction at all events?
Hope to see you at a NYMBO event this year.
Cheers
Steve
