During the summer a series of Wednesday evening events will be held in local parks and woodlands in the York and Selby area to enable young people to get a taste of Orienteering.
Last season 70 pupils from 15 schools took part in these events which were won by Dunnington, Hambleton, Canon Lee and The Mount. If you want your school to take part this season please read on and notify SteveWillis by 7th April.

Pupils should wear tracksuits and (studded) trainers/boots. They will need to carry safety pins for their control cards, whistles for safety, and red pens (if they haven't pre-entered) to copy the controls onto their maps. Pre-entry: telephone Steve Willis, 01423-323435.
Further details about the Knavesmire event will be sent out to schools during the Easter holidays. Entries will need to be phoned to Steve Willis by Friday, 5th May.
